Critical Care Careers

As a Level II trauma center, we’re uniquely prepared to provide skilled, compassionate care for the most critical patient needs. We seek highly motivated healthcare professionals with in-depth knowledge and strong clinical expertise in the following areas:

Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
Using advanced technology and nurse-driven protocols, you will care for critically injured multisystem trauma patients as well has those with critical neurological injury/stroke or subarachnoid hemorrhage. You’ll be part of a team that has been recognized with over 30 individual awards from AACN Circle of Excellence as well as Gold, Silver and Bronze awards from the Department of Health and Human Services for organ donation. To enhance our capabilities our new, state-of-the-art SICU features specialty beds, monitoring columns, communication system and computerized charting.

Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)
This unit features 27 all-private rooms and provides care for critically-ill adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, pulmonary or medical-surgical diagnoses who require intensive care. We provide compassionate caring for surgical cardiac patients, pulmonary arterial hypertension patients, patients with sepsis, patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring and patients experiencing multi-system failure. In addition, we treat patients needing intensive monitoring for diagnostic or therapeutic interventions in conjunction with invasive monitoring and/or therapy with mechanical ventilation, IABP support, hypothermia after cardiac arrest, continuous renal replacement therapy, roto-prone therapy and vasoactive medications.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Laguna Beach campus
This 10-bed critical care unit provides care to adult patients with surgical or medical disease who are acutely ill or injured or recuperating from diagnostic or therapeutic intervention requiring advanced levels of invasive monitoring.
