At Mission Hospital, treating those with the most critical and immediate needs is a vital part of our healing mission. That is why we place a strong emphasis on the high quality, compassionate caring we provide in our Emergency Services Departments. We treat all patients without consideration for their financial, religious, racial, color, sexual orientation or socioeconomic backgrounds.
The Emergency Services Department at our Mission Viejo campus is a 38-bed, technologically-advanced unit. It is certified as a paramedic receiving center, a paramedic base station hospital, a level II trauma center, certified stroke receiving center and chest pain center. The range of services we provide includes triage, evaluation, short-term observation, and comprehensive emergency care. We treat an average of 161 patients each day.
In addition, our Laguna Beach campus features a 12-bed Emergency Department providing basic emergency services to adults and pediatric patients. It is also a certified paramedic receiving center.
