There are many reasons for you to establish your career at Mission Hospital.  From our close-knit, supportive working environment and advanced technology to our comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement, your career will be greatly enriched with us.  But the most significant reason to serve in our values-based organization is for the fulfilling opportunity to bring hope and healing to the community.

As a non-profit acute care facility serving all of south Orange County, our Level II Trauma Center is the area’s only designated Regional Trauma Center. We also have Centers of Excellence in heart, women’s (including maternity and breast), trauma, spine, imaging, stroke, cancer and brain injury.

Mission Hospital is also a member of the St. Joseph Health System, an integrated healthcare delivery system providing a broad range of medical services. Organized into three regions--Northern California, Southern California, and West Texas/Eastern New Mexico – the system consists of 14 acute care hospitals, as well as home health agencies, hospice care, outpatient services, skilled nursing facilities, community clinics, and physician organizations. If you have the passion and dedication to truly make a difference, we invite you to join us.

 Culture

We understand that caring for patients and their families requires clinical expertise, in-depth knowledge and advanced technology.  But it also requires a spirit of compassion and service – a dedication to something greater than ourselves. Our mission is to continually improve the health and quality of life in the communities we serve by extending the healing ministry of Jesus. Our vision is to provide compassionate care, promote health improvement and create healthy communities.

Values

We have four core values that are the guiding principles for all we do.  Each of us is committed to these values and works to make them present in our relationship with each other and with those whom we are privileged to share. They create an environment where patient welfare always comes first.

Dignity : We respect each person as an inherently valuable member of the human community and as a unique expression of life.

Excellence : We foster personal and professional development, accountability, innovation, teamwork, and commitment to quality.

Service : We bring together people who recognize that every interaction is a unique opportunity to serve one another, the community, and society.

Justice : We advocate for systems and structures that are attuned to the needs of the vulnerable and disadvantaged and that promote a sense of community among all persons.

At Mission Hospital, we live out each and every one of these values as we:

  • Promote and defend human dignity
  • Attend to the whole person
  • Care for the poor and vulnerable
  • Foster community well-being
  • Promote the common good
  • Act on behalf of justice
  • Steward resources
  • Act in communion with the church
